Vermont Gas

Vermont Gas is a natural gas utility and energy services provider in northwest Vermont. In 2019 the company launched a Climate Plan to align with emerging climate policy and Vermont’s economy-wide greenhouse gas emissions reduction requirements. As part of the plan, Vermont Gas began developing a utility geothermal program in recognition that the future of energy is changing. Anticipating a time when fewer customers rely solely on the natural gas pipeline, the company is proactively building a diverse portfolio of thermal energy services to continue delivering reliable, affordable, and low-carbon solutions for Vermonters for decades to come.
